🚗 Compatibility & Requirements
Region Compatibility: Strictly for US (United States) and ECE (Central Europe) software versions.
Prerequisite: Always update your CIC software to the latest version before applying the patch.
 
⚙️ Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Apply the USB Patch
Format a standard USB drive to FAT32.
Copy the file 01_PATCHERUSB_AUTORUNcopie_scr.sh to the root of the empty USB drive.
Insert the USB drive into the car's CIC USB port and wait for it to reboot.
Note: If the unit does not reboot within 20 seconds, check for software incompatibility or verify if it has already been patched.
 
Step 2: Sign & Import Certificates
Once patched, your CIC is "virginized" and will accept your own signed certificates:
 
Use the private key located at 00_PRIVATEKEYS\scs.der for signing your FSC certificates. (root.der and sigs.der are included to complete the certificate chain).
To create certificates for your specific vehicle, use the templates in folder 03_FSC_TEMPLATES. Load them into E-SYS (FSC Editor) or FSTOOL, change only the VIN to match your car, sign them, and save.
 
⚠️ Important: Do not edit other fields, such as the issue date.
Install your newly created certificates using FSTOOL (for E-Series) or E-SYS (for F-Series), following the same procedure as OEM certificates. Additional certs can be found in 02_CERTS.
 
Note: Immediately after patching, you may notice existing FSC/SIG certs are rejected while the root is accepted. This is completely normal and will resolve once you overwrite them with your new custom certificates.
